An interdisciplinary project developed by Ukrainian artists who, fleeing from war, made their way to the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region and decided to stay here. Ula Kijak, responsible for the whole project has produced projects for institutional theatres, and is highly appreciative of working with groups of alternative origin. The production is a particular user’s manual of war and life during war. Among many things, it will tell us how to remove the residue from the gaffer tape used to protect windowpanes. Yet it brings far more into focus: a lesson of survival in the most extreme conditions. Step by step, word by word, account by account we have the destroyed cities, lost stories, and broken ties coming before our very eyes. We take that road together with the artists to try to learn to move around the new reality, fight, flee, hide away from the bombings, and react properly to the apparent and obscure signals of threat. All of these to try to name the unnameable, to rationalise the experiences that cannot be rationalised, to master the most extreme emotions. A significant part of the production are authentic accounts that the artists have collected from the social media.
