Probably both. Weronika Szczawińska was diagnosed with breast cancer, experienced invasive treatment and had to deal with the oppressive and sometimes absurd Polish health care system. The artist's emotional baggage has been used to create a devastatingly honest production, in which she acts alongside the phenomenal Sebastian Pawlak, at the same time settling her acting past, hopes and dreams.
“Onco” escapes all classifications. This is probably the most brazen spectacle you will see in the coming months. A theatre close to life, perhaps as close as possible.
