Due to the illness of one of the people playing in the play, we are forced to cancel the festival screenings of "Państwo/Der Staad" directed by Jan Klata. Ticket refunds will be made automatically to the accounts from which the payment was made.
Possibly one of Jan Klata’s boldest directorial moves. The Słowacki Theatre cast (joined by Linda Pöppel from Mannheim’s National Theatre) perform Plato’s treatise in ancient Greek, which, paradoxically, breathes a new life into the text, imbuing it with fresh layers of meaning. In today’s Poland, Republic becomes a tale of – believe it or not – “law and justice”.
